WELCOME !
124th Challenge
Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
Week of 07-18 through 07-24-2017
This week's photo prompt is provided by J.S. Brand. Thank you J.S. for our photo prompt!
Guide for Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
1. A prompt photo will be provided each Monday pm to be used as a base to your story. Please include photo prompt with your story.
2. Linking for this challenge begins on Monday pm and runs to the following Monday pm.
3. Please credit photo to photographer.
4. The story word limit is 100 – 150 words (+ – 25 words). Please try and stay within this limit.
5. Pingback to the challenge post in your story's post.
6. This is a flash fiction challenge (stories in 100-175 words or less) and each story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Therefore, no serial (continuation) stories. They become too complicated for our readers.
7. Add your story to the InLinkz Link-up (Blue Froggy button). Please let me know if you need link-up instructions.
8. Please keep stories below R rating.
9. Please respect the diversity of our readers and writers in regard to race, religion, and life style choice when writing your stories.
10. Remember, half the fun is reading and commenting on each other's stories.
If you are new to this challenge, I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to the FFfAW challenge. We are happy you have joined us! Or, if you have been gone for awhile, welcome back!

Welcome! We are happy to have you! I understand feeling scared and excited at the same time but you will find it is easy and very fulfilling! Are you familiar with InLinkz? We link our stories up to the blue froggy button (InLinkz).

Thank you for the welcome and for putting me at ease. I am happy to be here. I had a look at InLinkz. So I take it I publish the post on my own blog and then add the link and other details to InLinkz?

Yes, it is easy. You go into the link up button (on the bottom of the screen) and enter your URL on the top box, hit tab and it fills in the rest. You tap on the space where your photo goes and tap on your photo and it will fill in. If you don’t have your photo there yet, on the left hand side of the screen, you just follow the instructions to add it. If you need better directions than this then you will need to send me an email at mepricelessjoy@gmail.com and I will send you the instructions.

Thanks for the guidance. I’ve submitted. I hope I’ve done it right. Loving the other stories on the site. What a great challenge. Do I put a link on the comments here too as I’ve seen people do?

Oh no you don’t need to put another link in the comments. Your link worked just fine because I just read it! Welcome!

This was my first time responding to this challenge and I’m afraid I broke all the rules. I think I have well over 300 words, probably double the desired maximum. But I promise to do better next time, to be twice as concise as I managed to be this time. Here’s my non-compliant post: https://fivedotoh.wordpress.com/2017/07/17/one-step-at-a-time/

Aww, heck! I screwed up and forgot to put mine in the link up and now it’s closed. I was wondering why I hadn’t gotten any comments. Sheesh! That’s what brain fog does to you. If you would like to read it: https://barbct.wordpress.com/2017/07/20/the-missing-piece/
