This is a weekly Photo Prompt Challenge of 150 words or less. (+-) 25 words
1. Each week, a photo will be supplied and participants are to use this photo as a base for their stories, for a maximum word length of 150 words or less. (+-) 25 words.
2. This challenge will run from Wednesday to Wednesday, and you may add your story anytime during these specific days.
3. Your story should have the photo prompt attached.
4. Indicate on your story the number of words in your story.
5. Please tag your story with: Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers (This step is important).
6. Add your story’s url to this website’s comments. (In time I will provide an InLinkz link-up). (This step is also important so I will know who has participated).

8. If you are interested in participating in this challenge, please follow this blogsite and receive instant email notifications (there will be no other posts).

Cat, did this “About Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers” just go out last night? I mean did you get a post from this website?

I didn’t notice it in a post, I might have missed it when you initially posted it, or I didn’t miss it, just didn’t comment. I went looking today to see when the first photo is due

Oh, I just needed to ask because I saw that you were commenting from the Challenge website post. I have been working with InLinkz to get that working and thought it might have caused a post to be posted from the website. I finally had to send out a test on my Beautiful Words site this morning for the link-up and I am happy to announce that the InLinkz link-up works! Wooooo Hooooo!! Now I hope it also works Wednesday! LOL! If you still have my test post, go into it and click on the blue button (blue frog button), but you have to do it today because it won’t be on there tomorrow. You will see where I put one of my past posts as a test.

OK. Just checking if I got it right.
I am following this blog.
Every Wednesday you release a photo prompt.
I write a post with that photo prompt and publish it before the next Wednesday.
I
indicate the number of words,
Tag Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers and
Paste the URL in the comments and use the InLinkz.
Have I missed anything?
Thanks in advance š

The photo prompt is sent out each Tuesday. InLinkz will open on Tuesday to link your story in. The word limit is 75-175 words although no one gets in trouble if they go over that as long as it isn’t over by a lot. You don’t have to put your url in my comments unless you just want to. Most people don’t. Please make sure you link to InLinkz so we can all read your story. I’m happy you are following the blog and plan to participate!

Hello! We would love to have you join. You need to follow the blog, Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers. Each Monday night (early Tuesday morning) I send out the photo prompt for our stories for that week. You write a story based on the photo prompt (following the rules on the blog) and link it into ‘InLinkz” button that is on the challenge post. It is really easy, but if you need directions on linking, I will be happy to send them to you. Have I made this clear? Any questions??

Due to my very erratic writing habits (I’m in a rather constant battle with a couple pesky disabilities), I’m still not absolutely certain if I’ll be joining you as a writing participant, but the whole website idea is one that I find quite fascinating, and whether I actually contribute writing or not, I would dearly love to peruse some of the results. I was wondering if that would be acceptable or not?

I don’t understand what you mean by “peruse some of the results.”

I just meant was it alright to read the other entries if I myself wasn’t participating.

The reason I ask is because I assume “results” from the Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers” challenge are the stories that are written for the photo prompt. In that case, I have no say over other people’s stories – you would have to go through each individual. If you mean you would like to write a story from the prompt, absolutely! You certainly may. If you would like to link it to the InLinkz so others can read your story, I will be happy to link it for you (if your disabilities make it hard for you to do so). I’m willing to work with you if I can understand what it is you want.

Well thank-you very much. I will certainly let you know once I see how everything works out. I was actually more concerned about whether I would have to submit regularly if I submitted a first time.
LikeLike
No, you don’t have to submit a story regularly – only when you want to or when you can.

Thank-you, then that sounds quite perfect. Thanks again.

Sure! No problem! Look forward to reading your stories when you are able to submit them. When you write a story, let me know if you need me to link it up to InLinkz for you.
