IMPORTANT NOTICE
For
Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers Challenge
EFFECTIVE IMMEDIATELY: InLinkz has doubled the price of their membership and I have decided I will not pay that price; therefore, FFfAW Challenge is ending immediately. Thank you so much for your support and participation. I have enjoyed getting to know each and everyone of you and reading your wonderful stories. I wish you the best in the future. Thank you!
Sorry to hear no more FFfAW. Thank you, PJ, for all you have done. 😊

Can’t you continue the prompt without the InLinkz thing and just have people use links or pingbacks to your post? And some bloggers with prompts use Mister Linky as an alternative to InLinkz, and I believe it is free. I’m going to miss your weekly prompts.

I’m going to look into Mr. Linky and if it works out I will start my FFfAW challenge again. I would be very surprised if it is free.

When I first started my FOWC With Fandango prompt, I used Mister Linky. Fewer than half of the people who responded to the prompts used it, so I canned it. But it was, at the time, anyway, free…at least the version I used.
LikeLike
That makes me wonder why most of the people didn’t use it? Does it have a board with links on it like InLinkz does? Do you use InLinkz now for your prompt challenge?
LikeLiked by 1 person
Some people thought it was redundant, once the pingbacks showed up on my post. Mister Linky does list the names of bloggers who used it, but no images/avatars, like InLinkz does. I do no use InLinkz for my prompts.

Well, that is disappointing. I thought Mr. Linky would offer more than it does.

Oh, and thank you for your kind appreciation!

I agree. I follow you by email and use that as a pingback as I do all prompters.

That is such a shame, FFfAW is the highlight of my week. As Fandango said Mister Linky is free, I use it for Wordless Wednesday. It’s at http://www.blenza.com/linkies/. Anyway, thanks so much getting my brain into gear every Tuesday for the past few years. Your prompts have proved priceless, Joy!

I was just looking into Mr. Linky and I need to find out more about it. I don’t really understand how it works.

Several hosts of the various Mind Loves Misery Menagerie posts use it but I don’t know how it works I’m afraid. I see Fandango mentions it and says that it’s free. I believe he used it when he first started his FOWC daily word prompt last year.

I went to their website and tried to find out how it works but it really doesn’t show that. They run on donations and request a donation which is understandable. I would love to go to a blog that uses it so I can understand it more. At this point, I’m not sure I would like using it.
