Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
Week of 10-20 through 10-26-2015

Guide for Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
1. A prompt photo will be provided each Tuesday to be used as a base to your story. Please include photo prompt with your story.
2. Linking for this challenge begins on Tuesday and runs to the following Tuesday.
3. Please credit photo to photographer
4. The story word limit is 100 – 150 words (+ – 25 words). Please try and stay within this limit.
5. Pingback to the challenge post in your story's post.
6. This is a flash fiction challenge (stories in 100-175 words or less) and each story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Therefore, no serial (continuation) stories. They become too complicated for our readers.
7. Add your story to the InLinkz Link-up (Blue Froggy button). If you need link-up instructions, please email me at mepricelessjoy@gmail.com.
8. Remember, half the fun is reading and commenting on each other's stories.
HAVE FUN !!
For the time being, please hold off on sending me any photo considerations for the prompt, unless you have some very “colorful” ones. I need to use the photos I have already been given and I will be mixing them with pixabay photos.

How do we create ping backs? I’m quite new to WordPress. Thx!

You need to find out what the URL is to the post you want to pingback too. I have an easy way to get the url, but you have to receive the post via the email (in Manage Subscriptions make sure you are following the blog and receiving an instant email of the blog posts). When the post comes into your email, it will be on the very bottom line of that email. My url for my challenge blog looks like this: (this is this weeks challenge)
https://flashfictionforaspiringwriters.wordpress.com/2015/10/20/fffaw-week-of-10-20-2015/
This tells me the blog that it comes from, the date that it was posted and the title of the post.
Is this as clear as mud?
I follow my own blogs and request an instant email that way every time I publish a post I will have that url at my disposal.
Another way is to use this (but it won’t pingback to a particular post):

I just sent the information on how to create the pingback. If you have any more questions, let me know. I will try my best to answer them. I remember how lost I was when I first came to WP and no one would help me.

I forgot to finish telling you how to create a pingback. Once you get the url of the post you want to pingback to, then you put in the url into your post like this:
https://pricelessjoy.co/2015/10/20/fffaw-my-friend-buddy/
And that will create a pingback to that post.
