Welcome!
31st Challenge for
Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
Week of 09-15 through 09-22-2015
I published this challenge post last night at the regular time but it doesn’t appear to have gone out properly and I am submitting it again.
Guide for Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
1. A prompt photo will be provided each Tuesday to be used as a base to your story. Please include photo prompt with your story.
2. Linking for this challenge begins on Tuesday and runs to the following Tuesday.
3. Please credit photo to photographer
4. The story word limit is 100 – 150 words (+ – 25 words). Please try and stay within this limit.
5. Pingback to the challenge post in your story’s post.
6. This is a flash fiction challenge (stories in 100-175 words or less) and each story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Therefore, no serial (continuation) stories. They become too complicated for our readers.
7. Add your story to the InLinkz Link-up (Blue Froggy button). If you need link-up instructions, please email me at mepricelessjoy@gmail.com.
8. Remember, half the fun is reading and commenting on each other’s stories.
HAVE FUN !!

Interesting picture. I wish you provided the link to the blog it came from. Is it a painting? Did “he” paint it?

Scott’s brother in law painted it and I don’t think he has a blog.

LOL! It took me a long time to decide to use the prompt because I was afraid it was too “American.” I’m keeping my fingers crossed that I didn’t make a mistake by using it.

Aww…I think you dwell on the decision too much. We all see things differently. The only guidelines I would give myself when choosing is
1.Is it vulgar?
2. Is it cliche?
Of course I do not really know. You may want to send Rochelle an email and ask her. She’s been doing this a few years now and might have some tips/suggestions. I’m sure her contact info is on her page becasue I have emailed her before. I think you are doing just fine but if you are stressing or just curious, she could be a good resource.

Thanks! I really appreciate that Dawn. This is the only one I have really stressed about and I’m stressed even more because I don’t think everyone is getting my FFfAW Challenge post this week. I usually get a lot of “likes” when I send one out. It has me thinking, “Are they not getting it or do they not like the prompt?” Anyway, I just sent it out again and that will be the last try for this prompt. Thanks for letting me know about Rochelle.

What you are doing is awesome. I do really appreciate it. You can’t win them all. Everyone reads into everything differently and has different tastes. I agree with Dawn above, as long as it isn’t vulgar, it should be fine.
