Guide for Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers
1. A prompt photo will be provided each Tuesday to be used as a base to your story. Please include photo prompt with your story.
2. The challenge will run from Wednesday to Wednesday (although linking will start on Tuesday and end the following Tuesday)
3. Please credit photo to photographer
4. The story word limit will be 100 – 150 words (+ – 25 words). Please try and stay within this limit.
5. Pingback to the challenge post in your story’s post.
6. This is a flash fiction challenge (stories in 100-175 words or less) and each story should have a beginning, a middle, and an end. Therefore, no serial (continuation) stories. They become too complicated for our readers.
7. Add your story to the InLinkz Link-up (Blue Froggy button). If you need link-up instructions, please email me at mepricelessjoy@gmail.com.

Hey guys and gals. Here is my week’s work. I did a story-poem this time. Kinda like a ballad. I reworked the traditional tale of the Fox and the Sour Grapes.

I understand we must use the photo–please clarify for me if “Grapevines” is the prompt, and if there are guidelines: is it the title? Should the story revolve around grapevines? Sorry I’m so fuzzy this time, it’s been a stressful week. Thank you for your assistance.

For this week, the prompt photo is the grapevines. As long as your story has something to do with grapes, such as someone having a glass of wine is fine. Yes, there are guidelines and you will find them here: https://flashfictionforaspiringwriters.wordpress.com
I also suggest that you go into this url, read the guidelines and click on the blue froggy button. It will take you to the grid where everyone’s flash story is. Read a few and it will help you understand. Have I answered your questions? Let me know if you have more questions.

Oh, I forgot, I suggest you follow the blog, Flash Fiction for Aspiring Writers and select, receive email when there is a post. The only posts that come from this blog is the weekly photo prompt. That way you will know what the prompt is each week.

I am following the blog. And I didn’t have any difficulties last week–this has been an unusual week, and my brain is slow….

Okay, that’s great! I have problems remembering sometimes, please forgive me that I didn’t remember.

Well, as I was in doubt, I just checked to make sure I hadn’t lost my mind entirely–my story was “First Date Forever”. I think all of us who follow a lot of blogs, and do multiple prompts–and daily posts–can’t possibly remember everything. I don’t remember what I wrote yesterday, as a rule!! So, I can’t criticize anyone, surely.
